The javascript hack works in Chrome, was not working in firefox for some reason I cannot fathom.
It works by running a javascipt in the address bar.
And the trick is :

How can you Participate in Geek Enuf Contest?

Step 1 : Join the TATA DOCOMO community in Orkut, follow TATA DOCOMO on twitter and/or be a TATA DOCOMO fan on Facebook.
Step 2 : Take the Geek Enuf quiz using any of your Facebook, Twitter or Orkut Profile.
Step 3 : Get a positive score and enter the Geek Hall of the Fame. The person with highest score wins the Samsung Galaxy i7500 everyday!

There are two stages in the contest. Participation in this contest, and becoming elegible for the prizes is subject to successful clearing of these two stages :

Stage 1 – the participant needs to be a member / fan / follower of the official Tata DOCOMO identity on the social networking platforms (as the case may be for Orkut, Facebook and Twitter, respectively).
Stage 2 – In this stage, the participant is provided with a set of 10 multiple choice questions, each with varying levels of difficulty.

The incremental points that these questions carry are directly proportional to their level of difficulty. Thus the easiest one has the lowest marks and the most difficult one has the highest marks
Each participant is given 90 seconds in all to attempt to answer these questions
However each ‘wrong answer’ would mean that the ‘marks’ of the question, which has been responded wrongly would be deducted from the total score of the respondent
At the end of 90 seconds, basis the number of questions responded to rightly (as well as wrongly) a net score of the respondent would be calculated which will be the total marks of the questions answered correctly subtracted by total marks of the questions responded wrongly). This score would be called the ‘Geek Score’

TXT’N'WALK helps you to text , walk and not fall

A new mobile phone application has launched that promises to let you see where you are going while you are looking at your phone.

Called TXT’N'WALK the application, which is available on the iPhone, Blackberry, S60 and Android operating systems will use the camera found on the back of your phone to show you the pavement in front of you while you access your email or the web on your phone.

“We found that lots of people look at their phones while they are walking”, said a spokesman for the company Looflirpa who makes the app. “This way you can do so without the fear of walking into someone – or a lamppost”.

The app, which will be available by the end of the week from the relevant platform’s download stores will cost £2.99 in the UK and $4.99 in the US.

The need for the TXT’N'WALK app is clearly answering an as-yet untapped demand. In a recent poll on Pocket-lint, 56% of people said that they checked their mobile phone whilst walking around.

HDFC bank meritus scholarship program has problems

HDFC bank India has rolled out a nationwide scholarship programme for schoolkids from class 4th to 9th standards.

HDFC Bank has always been considered as a safe and secure bank with financial prudence. Now they have started the program for brightening the life of even young ones. HDFC Bank has come up with a scholarship program for Indian kids from class 4th to Class 9th. This scholarship is not just based on academics but looks at all round performance of participants.

Erratic Call charges on IVR No.505101012, Complaint from ******* Regn No. **********, HDFC Meritus Scholarship

Dear Sir / Madam,
With Reference to the HDFC Meritus Scholarship Test – My Daughter ******* Thasneem – Registration Number – **********
I regret to bring to your kind attention that the disappointment experience what we had faced now,
1. I have already forwarded Two mails on the connectivity for the IVR Test as we did not get connected at all Every time it says Tray Later.
2.My Daughter has continously tried the number early morning / midnight / holidays but of no use, Not connected to the IVR Test only says “Try Later”
3. We have tried so far 276 times but no use.
4. The problem what we face now is ” We have been Charged Rs. 6/- for every attempt we made to the number 505101012.
5. We have been charged Rs. 1656 ( 276 * 6 ) One thousand six hundred and fifty Six Rupees for not having connected to the number you have mentioned. We agree that Rs.6 will be charged for taking the IVR test and the test may go also 10 to 15 mints provided there should be connectivity between the two lines.
6. Whereas If the Phone is charged Rs.6 for every attempt and not connected, then how do you expect us to try whether we will get connected to test or we would be just paying Rs. 6 for every attempt.
7. In what way it is Justifyable?? Pls let me know it clearly from your management.
8. I am attaching the detail summary of calls are being charged for the every attempt of your IVR number 505101012. Pls Go though the same and come to conclusion. Pls see the Trailing Mail.
9. How the People will try and deleberately knowing that Rs.6 will be charged for every attempt with out knowing that this call will get connected or not.
10. Now we have decided not to try further this IVR Number as we do not know whether this will get connected and we have to pay Rs. 6 for every attempt and so far we have been already charged Rs.1656 for dialing this number and to hear “Try Later”. The Call get cut at 23 seconds.
I would like to get the suitable remedial action from your side and I would like to know what would be your further necessary action to solve my problem.

Wanted to browse for some photo or picture on the internet ?

Wanted to browse for pictures or photos on the internet in a more beautiful way ? If you have Firefox on Windows, there is the PicLens CoolIris addon. Which I must say isÂ uber cool. A 3d wall of pictures which you can scroll across. You can zooom in and out using your mouse scroll wheel and pull the wall in any direction.

If you have Firefox on Windows, you must have this extension (PicLens) .

Did any of you have this particular problem ? A webpage showing text in the reverse direction.

In my orkut.com home page, the Today’s Fortune :Â and a few recent visitors are displayed in the reverse direction. Mirrored.

So it appears like “this sriaffa lanosrep ruoy ni kcul doog evah syawla lliw uoY :enutrof s’yadoT”

The actual thing is : Today’s fortune:Â You will always have good luck in your personal affairs

I solved this for the moment, but for a complete solution orkut has to specify the text encoding in their pages. In my orkut home page
