1. Registrations for the event are to be made at the venue of the event.
2. Participants are requested to be at the venue at least fifteen minutes in advance.
3. Explicit vulgarity in any form is strictly prohibited and may warrant disqualification.
4. The decision of the Literary Committee Secretary, wherever applicable, is final.
5. Participants are requested to adhere to the specified time limits for all the events.
6. Teams are requested to keep track of their own scores to avoid confusion.
7. No new registrations entertained 15 minutes after the beginning of the event.

Dumb Charades - Mind Your Language

3) Number of rounds variable. Rules for different rounds will be specified.
90 Seconds - Yes, no, maybe
‘And your time starts now’
1) Team event with two members per team.
2) Six finalist teams.
3) The clueing teammates may only use the words: ‘yes’, ‘no’, ‘pass’, ‘also’ and ‘maybe’.
4) No codes allowed. However, standard formats like SPLASH, MERIT etc. are acceptable.
Pictionary
‘Picasso would have a tough time, not you’
1) Team event with two members per team.
2) In the prelims, each partner pictorially represents the clues (personalities, places, books, movies, proverbs, …) and the other has to guess them.
3) Six teams are selected for the finals which includes a reverse pictionary round.
What’s the good word? - Lexicon

1) Team event with two members per team.
2) Written prelims and six finalist teams.
3) Three clues allowed per word, the first has to be an acceptable synonym.
4) Each synonym / clue has to be a single word. Hyphenated words will be considered as two clues.
5) No clue or synonym can begin with the same letter as the word and no three consecutive letters may be common between ANY clue / synonym and the actual word.
6) Three guesses allowed per word.
Loquacity - Debate, JAM, Extempore

Debate - Antithesis
‘Life is full of contractions… No it isn’t.’
1) Team event with two speakers per team.
2) One speaker to speak for the topic and the other against it.
3) The topic will be announced 48 hours in advance.
4) Total speaking time of 3 + 1 (4) minutes and 1 minute of rebuttal time allowed per speaker.
5) Prizes for best team and best speaker
Extempore: Off the cuff
‘One phrase. Three minutes. No holds barred.’
1) Individual event.
2) Total speaking time of three minutes per speaker.
3) Topics given on the spot with preparation time of three minutes.
4) Points awarded for content, relevance to the topic, style and humour.
Just A Minute: Glibly Gabbing
‘Speak when you are spoken to, end otherwise.’
1) Individual event.
2) Six finalists will be selected after prelims.
3) Speak on the topic, buzz when you hear the speaker make a mistake.
4) The decision of the JAM master will be final.
Grafitti - Creative Writing, Wall Mag

Creative Writing - Kaleidoscope
‘Paper and pen comes together to weave a magical tale. ‘
1) Any number of entries per college.
2) Choice of at least 3 topics, which will be announced 3 days in advance.
3) Only the paper provided by the Literary desk may be used.
4) No restrictions in the form of word limit or style of writing.
5) Entries to be made in blue or black in only.
6) Participants may not write their names or the names of the colleges on the sheets provided.
7) Completed entries should be submitted to the Literary desk before the specified date.
Wall Mag - Grafitti
‘The writing as always, is on the wall.’
1) One entry per college per day.
2) Only the chart paper provided, by the Literary desk may be used.
3) Chart papers must be collected from the Literary desk by 6 PM and submitted by 8 AM, the next morning at the Literary desk.
4) The Literary Committee will put up the wallmags after inspection and those containing explicitly derogatory matter shall NOT be put up. Teams may not put wallmags on their own.
5) A prize will be given to the best wallmag for the day.
